Panchayati Raj Diwas

He was the symbol of our pride. He lives beyond time and space. He was none other than our dearest Biju Pattanaik. His birthday on 5th March is celebrated as Panchayati Raj Diwas in our state as he was the first CM who implemented the 3 tier Panchayati system for the first time. This symbolizes his love for common people and his desire to empower them through local self governance. We offer our homage to this noble soul and believe that his lofty ideals will continue to inspire all of us forever.
